The selected candidate will be joining a large international organisation and will manage, plan, direct and control all operations of the Technology Solutions & Digital function.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full range of defined tasks associated with the analysis, design, development and implementation of business software solutions;
  • Manage the full range of defined tasks associated with the maintenance and support of live business software solutions;
  • Plan, manage, direct, monitor and control the delivery of Technology Solutions & Digital related projects and services;
  • Design, establish, maintain, update, promote, monitor and control the application architecture;
  • Assist in the setting of strategy for IT-related systems and services in support of the business goals and objectives;
  • Assist in the management of all corporate IT functions and IT budgets;
  • Define, plan and manage the allocation of resources for the planning, development and delivery of all information systems services and products;
  • To assist in the definition of an IT Governance framework and compliance;
  • To assist in the definition, planning and management of organisational IT-related policies governing all technological matters, hardware and software procurement, staff developments and rewards, the conduct of management of change initiatives and standards of professional conduct;
  • To assist in the monitoring of the contribution of change programmes to organisational success;
  • To guide, assist and manage IT staff members in the selection of software products, services and hardware that meet the organisation’s needs;
  • To assist client/end-users define their business requirements;
  • To guide, mentor, train, direct and provide technical and project leadership to IT personnel;
  • To participate in internal projects assigned by the Chief Information Officer;
  • To liaise with hardware and software suppliers and establish a good relationship with such suppliers;
  • To implement and observe established policies and procedures;

Responsibilities:

  • To deploy staff members under his/her responsibility efficiently and effectively in consultation with Chief Information Officer;
  • To implement and monitor performance measurement systems and other techniques bench marking the Unit performance;
  • Assist in the preparation of the Unit’s business plan and underlying budgets. This includes the preparation of action plans and reports as may be instructed by the Chief Information Officer from time to time;
  • To hold regular meetings with staff members under his/her responsibility to clearly communicate the targets
  • To appraise the performance of his/her subordinates and ensure that their assessments are carried out on time;
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her from time to time.
