A legal firm providing legal, tax, fiduciary and accounting services to businesses and private clients worldwide, is currently looking for a Tax Compliance Manager to join their team.

Job Description

  • Ensuring quality of service to clients by Tax Residence & Compliance Team through ongoing monitoring which ascertains that:
  • Tax returns are being prepared diligently, submitted correctly and prior to deadlines
  • Provisional tax payments are collected in advance
  • Registration of companies and shareholders for tax purposes are submitted in a timely manner
  • Ongoing documentation is collected from clients who engage us for tax residence file submission
  • Applications for residence programmes are prepared diligently, submitted correctly and clients are continuously kept up to date
  • Proactively following up departments for any pending replies and outcomes
  • Client emails are being well handled and replied to promptly
  • Queries are being tackled professionally and the organization’s expectations for quality and productivity are being met
  • Database is being kept updated as per the set procedures, with all the records relating to jobs and job logging, updating interactions and notes, and closing completed jobs accordingly
  • There is a weekly assessment of the team’s job logging and analysis of billable and non-billable hours to ensure that all hours are logged, hours are logged correctly and billable hours are maximised
  • There is a smooth transition and continuous liaison with other departments such as Billing, Private Clients and other
  • Assisting the team with any work, calls or meetings as required
  • Keeping abreast on any relevant updates to tax legislation 
  • Organising and planning work for the team and making sure that deadlines are met.
  • Acting as a point of reference to the team

Experience and Qualifications

  • Tax returns are submitted in a timely manner and prior to deadlines
  • Registration of companies and shareholders for tax purposes are done immediately and correctly
  • Residency applications are submitted correctly and with all documentation in good order at the outset
  • Achievement of professionalism and standards of quality within the team by ensuring the team is working in line with company’s mission statement which highlights service, knowledge, excellence and quality. Examples of such measures include maintenance of an updated database and timely and appropriate replies to clients
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, CRM, database and information systems
  • Experience in tax compliance
  • Client relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Organizational and leadership skills
