Job Description

As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for making high-level design choices including creating, defining and choosing framework for development and integration solutions. Chosen candidate will be leading projects and project teams.

Job Description:

  • Identify appropriate software architecture based on the requirements and design elements based on client specification;
  • Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration
  • Preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation;
  • Work closely with developers to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code, in line with defined architecture;
  • Lead, advice and mentor teams whether in a lead or advisory role, in project delivery sharing your technical knowledge in the process;
  • Make high level, project critical decisions of technical standards, coding standards, tools and platforms;
  • Ensure the overall integrity of the software architecture and validate it against the system specification;
  • Evaluate and review;
  • Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation;
  • Use SCRUM methodology to deliver projects alongside other teams;

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a software development orientated discipline;
  • Deep knowledge of Java and broad working experience in real-world projects;
  • Awareness of open source projects such as the Mule, Spring framework, JMS, REST and SOAP (ideally with CXF) and scripting languages such as Groovy and JavaScript;
  • Good knowledge of web services, and have worked with XML and JSON;
  • Awareness of complete project life cycle - design, development/ implementation & testing phases;
  • Experience with mission-critical enterprise applications including support for high-availability and security;
  • Strong collaboration skills and passion for standards;
  • At least 5 years’ experience, with 3 years in a lead role;
  • Personable, trustworthy and approachable;
  • Passionate about technology, driven by delivering customer focused solutions;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ambitious and proven desire for continual self-development;
  • Flexibility, able to adapt to changing priorities within a rapidly changing business environment.
