Job Description

A betting company operation online and through retail shops is seeking a Risk Management Specialist.

Job Description

  • Oversee the shop investigations and help to detect and prevent risk by analysing the suspicious activity in shops
  • Oversee and supervise AML monitoring, prevention and reporting activities
  • Supervise the analysis of fraud and risk trends, process gaps identification, risk prevention measures implementation and investigations tools
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports regarding suspicious betting activity in shops and enable shop and franchise partner risk matrix
  • Assure shop and customer transaction risk assessment to reduce the financial loss to the business and mitigate instances of fraud and ML against the company
  • Provide assistance to the Head of Retail Services & Legal Affairs by identifying and implementing process improvement of analysis processes and procedures
  • Assist external financial and legal auditors
  • Manage and oversee all facets of risk and money laundry detection and prevention
  • Conduct and assist in compliance investigations, including fraud and AML
  • Conduct internal oversight, risk assessment and monitoring of testing reports
  • Continually develop and review processes to secure best practice
  • Liaise with management and other departments to improve, adapt to new regulations and ensure best practice in terms of authorisation and control is maintained
  • Communicate fully all situations that may affect the department’s ability to meet standards or deadlines
  • Be a proactive problem solver: able to find the root cause and propose solutions and take ownership of resolution with a can-do attitude

Skills & experience required

  • in-depth knowledge and understanding of AML
  • analytical and statistical understanding
  • quantitative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
  • should be highly organized
  • attention to detail
  • excellent in both written and spoken German
  • very good use of the English language
  • should be proactive, collaborative and maintain a persistent work ethic
  • being a problem-solver and having creative mind is an asset
