Project Manager - Business Development

A well established group of companies is recruiting a Project Manager – Business Development who shall be responsible in managing the complete life cycle of projects by capturing business requirements, to implementation and through deployment.

The ideal candidate shall have a critical role in exploring business opportunities that will impact on the bottom-line and contribute to the design, development and implementation of secure payment applications for e-wallets and financial services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and recommend on potential strategies’ development: new customer segments, new products, services, ventures, technological and / or financial partners
  • Develop growth strategies and plan in alignment with company goals and strategy
  • Manage projects while ensuring successful end-to-end delivery in terms of time, cost, quality and benefits
  • Manage resources effectively to deliver value and quality whilst meeting deadlines
  • Lead, design and develop required technological platforms and applications
  • Identify and use innovative methods and approaches to resolve project and business issues
  • Identify risks involved and set up mitigation plans
  • Facilitate and document post project review to derive lessons learned for the delivered project and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels to ensure effective and timely delivery of project tasks and products
  • Manage key regulatory applications throughout the complete development lifecycle
  • Liaise with regulators, public authorities and ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations
  • Conduct the profitability analysis of the different projects
  • Provide financial reporting and manage account financials to achieve project margins
  • Prospect and negotiate with various stakeholders around the business development project
  • Review required business documents like SLA and agreements
  • Prepare and present project progress, risks & issues and status updates to Executive and Senior leaders
  • Demonstrate keen awareness of technological trends locally and globally

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold a degree in Information Software Engineering with a combination of Business Management/Finance/Marketing
  • Have at 5 years or more in a similar position, with practical experience in project management software
  • Have Experience in a FinTech or financial institution
  • Possess knowledge of FinTech laws and regulations would be a strong advantage
  • Be autonomous and future-thinking, with an entrepreneurial approach to business and a focus on delivering the highest quality
  • Have a strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in French and English with excellent communications and reporting aptitudes
  • Knowledge of local and international markets
  • Willingness to travel if required at short notice
  • Have excellent understanding, and demonstrated track-record, of complex technology and business solutions in a client-facing environment
  • Possess proven experience in prioritizing and coordinating several projects at one time
