Project Management Office  Analyst

 

Accountability:

To perform high level project monitoring duties through the application of information technology, business domain knowledge, investigative and analysis techniques.

·        Participation in High Level Project Monitoring activities

-        Liaising with various stakeholders including the Project/Programme Manager and Team Leader to understand the current project status;

-        Assisting in the identification and the discussion of new and current project risks and issues without getting into low level detail;

-        Keeping track of pending and closed high level project/programme decisions;

-        Identifying cross Project/Programme dependencies and raising them with the respective Project/Programme Managers;

-        Using various tools to analyse the project status from a data perspective; and

-        Challenging the perceived Project status based on the gathered data and information.

·        Advocate for best Project Management practices

-        Gathering and documenting information relating to best Project Management practices based on well-established project management methods such as PRINCE2 and PMP. Based on this, produce and maintain Project/Programme Management standards;

-        Communicating project management best practices with the Project/Programme Manager; and

-        Monitoring that PMs adhere to the approved Project/Programme Management standards and escalating when and where necessary;

·        Reporting

-        Clearly and accurately present and report the project status on a weekly basis;  
-        Developing new reporting templates; and
-        Improving current reporting templates.

Qualification:

Possess an MQF Level 6 qualification in Management or equivalent
