A leading global provider of high-value business services to clients operating and investing globally in over 80 countries world wide is seeking to employ a Pension Scheme Administration Manager for their offices in Malta.

Job duties include:

  • Managing the team of people that will be dealing with the on-boarding, general administration and liaison with counter parties of the members’ Pension Retirement Scheme, held on trust.
  • Process payments to clients, investment banks and any other payments that arise
  • Keep track of regular payments which need to be done
  • Input all the Bank of Valletta accounts transactions into the accounting excel in order to keep track of each client’s cash balance in BoV
  • Complete and file the annual FIAU compliance report
  • Complete and file the MFSA annual return
  • Review the work prepared by the pension scheme administrators
  • Ensure that the operations manual is being followed by the pension admins (ex: all data is stored correctly on the system and filed correctly)
  • Distribute the work to the pension admins as necessary; Assist with any queries that the pension admins have during their work
  • Attend the weekly call which is done with the London team to discuss all the progress of all ongoing matters
  • Assist the compliance officer during her visits to the office by providing any documents/files requested
  • Prepare the documents requested by the auditors during their yearly audit (ex: signed resolutions, forms etc)
  • Liaise with Malta Commissioner for Revenue when necessary to process the tax which needs to be paid on income payments and to register new members; Liaise with MBR as necessary (ex: to update records, request any documentation etc); Liaise with BoV as necessary (ex: if there are any issues with payments made)
  • Assist the directors with any issues/queries as necessary
  • Work with Group IT & HR to set up any new admin joiners
  • Complete and submit Jobs plus Engagement forms and FS4 for new joiners
  • Take care of the corporate files of International Pensions

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • At least 3 years of experience related to pension scheme administration
  • Experience with reporting and keeping a close communication with clients
  • Advanced level of English
