Management Accountant

We are a dynamically growing company in the Air Chartering business with a diverse fleet operating on a world-wide level. Air X is an international company offering exposure to various markets and jurisdictions from around the world. The role of the Management Accountant is to ensure the company’s financial security, handling essentially all financial matters and thus helping to drive the business’s overall management and strategy. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for producing monthly management accounts including profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flows, and variance analysis. 
  • Responsible accountant for the production of the statutory accounts and primary point of contact for resolution of audit queries; Maintain management accounting processes and implement and communicate any required changes; 
  • Provide supporting data and relevant analysis to aid decision making in an effective and timely manner; 
  • Ensure management and fiscal reporting are fully reconciled and aligned; 
  • Prepare and submit all consolidated management accounts for SBU and Group Finance review and sign off; 
  • Validate and upload all monthly actual results, budgets and forecasts to the Group consolidation and reporting model.
  • Work collaboratively as a key member of the Management Team to ensure the execution of strategic and operational objectives that apply to own area of responsibility; 
  • Ensure compliance with all finance processes, controls and regulatory framework. Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted to management; 
  • Proactively identify improvements (through root cause analysis), making recommendations and successfully implement new ways of working - gaining the full support of stakeholders and colleagues alike; 
  • Ensure the team always provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Master’s degree in accounting (MQF 7) or equivalent. 
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent). 
  • 3 years of more of work experience in Accounting, Audit or related Finance experience. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Accountable and committed to team goals. 
  • Flexible and able to multitask. 
  • Excellent technical and computer skills, particularly in Excel. 
  • Knowledge of Sage would be considered as an asset. 
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).and regulatory framework. Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted to management; 
  • Proactively identify improvements (through root cause analysis), making recommendations and successfully implement new ways of working - gaining the full support of stakeholders and colleagues alike;
