IT Team Lead

Award-winning Casino Operator is expanding their IT department and looking for a Team Leader to join their office in central Malta.

As an IT Team Lead, you will be responsible for business continuity and success of the internal IT operations, as well as ensure that IT solutions will support all functions, with customer satisfaction, following security standards and keeping critical services active in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic vision and goals for all IT initiatives;
  • Lead all aspects of IT and IS strategy and operations, and maintenance needed to support the business;
  • Define and maintain routines for asset management, access management, IT operations, incident management, and business continuity;
  • Ensure the risk assessment within the IT area is up to date and carry over constant monitoring;
  • Responsible for compliance related questions and audits within IT Operations;
  • Maintain requirements of ISMS based on PCI-DSS and ISO 27001;
  • Review IT policies and maintain manuals related to them;
  • Train company employees with regards to Information Security policies and best practices;
  • Undertake internal IT audits and system control;
  • Point of contact for 3rd party service and equipment providers;
  • Ensure budgets are set and followed through;
  • Oversee and manage the purchase, maintenance, upgrade and ad-hoc service requests for new and existing hardware and software used internally within the company;
  • Manage the monitoring of the IT infrastructure;
  • Coordinate and respond to any kind of incidents within the IT area;
  • Take initiative, while aware of the accountability and leadership responsibility that comes with it;
  • Manage IT staff by training, coaching, motivating, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance;
  • Report on the team relevant KPI's on a regular basis;
  • Balance the work within the team, coordinate leaves and on call shifts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology / Computer Science OR a related professional certification, such as Cisco or Microsoft;
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role;
  • Strong knowledge in complex network architectures and Windows Server tech stack;
  • Experienced in setting up and managing internal infrastructures;
  • Capable of resolving critical software and hardware issues in a time sensitive manner;
  • Team player who can form positive relationships at all levels of the business;
  • Resilient and approachable, with the ability to work successfully in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Proactive mindset, willing to contribute to a growing team, with a genuine interest in supporting people and finding creative solutions;
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skill;
  • Experience with ISO 27001, PCI DSS and/or ITIL would be considered as an asset;
