Job Description

An international technology company, is recruiting a Head of Product Development who will be leading the Product Development team locally and will also be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy and execution with direct responsibility for the product development activities in Mauritius.


  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the Product Development organization in alignment with the Company’s corporate objectives
  • Responsible for the HR management activities including maintenance of proper staffing levels, resource optimization, attainment of individual and team goals, ER, mentoring, people  development, rewards and goals achievement
  • Works with different organizations and institutions to increase the Company’s visibility and influence changes in technology sector
  • Management of Product Development staff and resources and continuous improvement of processes to ensure that efforts meet company objectives
  • Represents product development internal and external meetings and strategy review
  • Maintains responsibility for group performance measures through metrics
  • Continually cultivates, develops and maintains positive business relationships with the rest of the organisation
  • Works towards organization mission, vision and values and use these principles in decision making
  • Demonstrates awareness and understanding of strategic goals and focuses on priorities
  • Proactively contacts key stakeholders to assess their satisfaction and the team ability to deliver comprehensive solution and monitor Management quality and productivity using established metrics
  • Works on employee engagement survey feedback by conducting regular survey analysis and internal meetings to identify trends, strengths and opportunities


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and post graduate degree in related field preferred
  • 15+ years of experience with responsibility for product development preferred
  • Senior level 7+ years direct leadership experience with a proven ability to lead an organization across geographies
  • Experience in managing a team of Managers and recognized as an individual with outstanding leadership skills, professionalism, communication, business acumen and planning capabilities
  • Proven partnership with other senior-level functional leaders to achieve results and understand major accounts operations
  • Ability to Drive innovation in the technology field
  • Ability to communicate strategy and create a shared vision
  • Demonstrated ability to work across departments to lead collaborative projects
  • Experience collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data to generate recommendations
  • Demonstrated success in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, changing environment
