Job Description

The ERP Analyst has an active role in the deployment and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The chosen candidate will perform ad-hoc customization and interfacing to/from the ERP and develop and maintain in-house built business applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Health and Safety

  • To actively participate in Health and Safety initiatives
  • To abide to the safety legislations of the company
  • To make sure that IT Infrastructure within the work area are in safe conditions

2. IT Systems

  • To ensure proper running of the ERP system so that accounts function meet recoding requirements, reporting needs and closure targets.
  • To develop new system or new functionality as instructed by the IT Team Leader
  • To support existing IT systems (ERP and in-house developed)
  • To develop user-level and technical requirements specifications for new systems or changes to existing systems
  • To oversee the development of user documentation (instructions for using the systems)
  • To do research on new technologies being deployed on the market which are related to the ERP
  • To suggest improvements to existing system based on best practices learnt or emerging technology

3. Planning and Coordination

  • To propose and develop solutions for the company using appropriate software
  • To be an active team member during project development phase
  • To ensure that all documents are in accordance to the procedures set for ISO

4. General

  • To work with IT management to ensure systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards
  • To take design decisions, the concepts have to be agreed with the IT Team Leader
  • To assist users in case of any difficulty using the system
  • To provide training on ERP for new comers or on request
  • To provide training on newly deployed functionalities on the ERP
  • To perform any cognate duties as may be assigned by Management

Skills and Experience

  • Basic Accounting
  • Software engineering
  • Oracle Financials functional insight
  • Master ERP configuration (Oracle Financials, as required by Gamma Construction)
  • To demonstrate ability to use basic accounting transactions and how they are recorded in an IT system.
  • Oracle Applications technical insight
  • Degree Computer Science
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in the field
