Compliance and Risk Officer

A well established financial services firm is seeking to employ a Compliance and Risk Officer. The Compliance and Risk Officer is to advise the Company on any potential risks to the profitability of functioning of the Company.

Job duties include:

  • Planning, designing and implementing the risk management process
  • Maintaining the risk register
  • Performing timely risk assessments
  • Performing risk evaluations
  • Managing the corporate governance duties ( external risk reporting to relevant stakeholders )
  • Conduct policy and compliance audits
  • Provide training and raising overall risk awareness across the Company
  • Provide internal guidance on regulatory matters
  • Advise the Directors on relevant compliance rules, legislation, standards, recommendation and practices
  • Analyse new and emerging regulations and their application, report on the requirements and their impact on the operations

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • A degree level education
  • 3 years relevant working experience 
  • Familiarity with pensions scheme will be considered an asset
  • Ability to set own deadlines and able to absorb complex information quickly
