Business Development Manager

THE CHALLENGE OR THE WOW

The business development manager will be responsible for scouting new markets opportunities, developing the market business case and providing recommendations on the go to market activities. The position requires a clear understanding of industry challenges and the ideal candidate must use knowledge of research, data and trends to identify and clearly communicate new opportunities to senior managers.

You will:

  • Drive rapid, accurate and robust opportunity assessments making use of different data sources

  • Oversee the business case development, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure relevant information from different business areas is collected in a comprehensive way

  • Reads publications and attends seminars on industry trends to aid in keeping ahead of the competition and report competitive initiatives and activities on regular basis

  • Work closely with Research team in conducting new market research into emerging trends in the industry

  • Assist in preparing legal, finance and other documentations required for geographic expansion

  • Act as a liaison between the Strategy, Commercial, Product and Operations departments for systematic and procedural implementation of the new markets strategy

  • Coordinate different teams to develop and implement efficient go to market business plans

  • Work closely with Project Management team in planning, identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies to ensure deadlines are met

YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • + 5 years industry experience, ideally in a similar or relevant role in commercial, marketing or operations teams (must have)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as good presentation skills

  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks

  • Excellent analytical and research skills

  • Negotiation and persuasion

  • MS Office proficiency
