Job Description

Our client is recruiting a Business Developer – Factoring who will be responsible to develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues, whilst marketing the factoring product to prospective clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational goals and revenues
  • Meet annual sales budget assignment and profitability
  • Contact and secure meeting with a minimum of prospective clients per month
  • Meet a minimum of prospective clients per month
  • Cross selling of the company’s products to corporate clients and SMEs
  • Prepare technical file to be submitted for review to Manager
  • Ensure relevant customer documentation and KYC information is obtained and recorded correctly
  • Assist in development of sales and marketing strategies
  • Liaise with analyst for credit limits when preparing the file
  • Follow up with credit risk and committee for approval of new files
  • Draft proposal letters and contracts to be submitted to prospects
  • Compile statistics to be reported to Manager Factoring
  • Review actual contract of existing clients according to the recommendations of Manager Factoring and Team Leader Factoring
  • Ascertain service continuity through system of alternates and appropriate handing over in case of absence
  • Provide timely feedback to clients on all outstanding queries within agreed SLA’s
  • Meet with Manager on a monthly basis for a follow up on prospects

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in business/finance related fields or equivalent
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in Business Development
  • Experience in the factoring industry would be an advantage
  • Well verse with MS Office Tools, Risk management, Planning and organising and presentation skills Strong negotiation and persuasive skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpretation of financial analysis
  • Be creative with sense of innovation
  • Previous experience in factoring would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrate level of competency in the skills and knowledge as required
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the policies, procedures of operations and comply to and apply same appropriately
  • Take ownership in self-development
