A Multinational manufacturer and insurance company is currently on the lookout for a finance analyst who will report to the Head of ALM and Solvency Analyst.

Job Description 

  • Analyse the performance of the company's investments  

  • Analyse new opportunities for investment  

  • Perform monthly regulatory and investment controls  

  • Take control of all reporting requirements under the Insurance Distribution Act  

  • Assist in the preparation of Committee material such as PowerPoint presentations  

  • Assist in the Asset Liability Management process  

  • Prepare financial projections (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) 

  • Assist in the reporting requirements under the Insurance Business Act (Solvency II)  

  • Involved in the Solvency calculations for reporting and ad-hoc requirements 

  • Assist in the preparation of the Financial Statements  

  • Assist the other member of the team  

  • Assist other departments whenever requested  

  • Other ad-hoc tasks   

Job Requirements 

  • Be positive with a make-it-happen, self-starter attitude  

  • Be trustworthy, ethical and committed to the role  

  • Be proactive with a problem-solving skill set  

  • Have ability to find practical solutions to challenging tasks  

  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner  

  • Have a solid understanding of accounts (final stages of completing ACCA certification or equivalent qualification)  

  • Have Microsoft Office skills (mainly Excel and especially PowerPoint)  

  • Have insurance and investment experience (not essential but would help) 

  •  Be able to communicate properly in English
