The Web Analyst is a supporting role within the Betsson Group. Firstly, by assisting our Business Analytics team to produce actionable insights on web behaviour. Secondly, organizing and delivering Google Analytics training across the Group.

The person in this role will need to be a self-starter who takes ownership and is able to prioritise their work in line with business and stakeholder priorities. Passionate about data they will drive change and action through science rather than hunch.

You will:

  • Support various analysts and stakeholders in the production of analysis, dashboards or reports, requiring web behaviour information and insights. Analysis will mostly focus on:

    • Identifies, measures, and monitors KPIs, while making recommendations that impact our site and marketing performance

    • Support the roadmap of optimising content, CRM, marketing and user/customer experience, all through the understanding of onsite visitor behaviour

    • Experience enhancements, analysing the impact of changes to product, site/mobile experience and new product launches with the aim of concluding whether an acceptable return on investment was delivered or not

  • Work with the Web Lead to create a step change in our web set up:

    • Ensure reliable tagging and tracking to support accurate measurement and data validations – see issues through to resolution

    • Work with our developers to audit implementations of web analytics, including the integration with experiment platforms

  • Run the tailored Google Analytics training for the Betsson Group

    • Administer the internal Google Analytics tailored training

    • Create/design content based on the Betsson Group implementation of Google Analytics

    • Identify and assess web analytics training needs of Betsson Group employees

    • Deliver the tailored Google Analytics training to Betsson Group employees

    • Evaluate and record training activities to measure and review program effectiveness

    • Educate and coach users of Google Analytics on best practise and application for their role

  • Identify data issues and work with relevant teams to resolve

  • Stay connected with the trends and the details

  • Great at problem solving and critical thinking – highly analytical and knows how to approach and solve questions

  • A Positive Mental Attitude is key!

  • Google Analytics or similar tracking tools a must

  • Excel proficiency required

  • SQL, BigQuery, Knime, QlikSense, Power BI, a/b testing knowledge of benefit but not a must
