The Change, Configuration and Improvement Services team is responsible for the development, operation and continuous improvement of Government’s internal and external service provisioning systems. Systems include MITA’s Service Management system (Marval), various custom in-house applications based on .Net and SQL databases as well as specialised technologies such as K2 Five and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), amongst others.
We are looking for a passionate techie who:
has experience working with database engines (such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL);
is keen to gain a broad and deep level understanding of in-house applications to be able to solve problems and propose service improvements;
likes to write code (using PowerShell, bash, python or anything you are familiar with) and use automation tools;
has a flair to proactively look into automating manual processes and work
has experience working with Windows operating systems;
has a background in application development using .Net;
be conversant with cloud technologies mostly in relation to Microsoft Azure platform
previous administration of Service Management ticketing systems, as well as general knowledge of service management best practices, principles and methodologies.
As a member of the Change Configuration and Improvement Services Team, you will form part of a dynamic team with a can-do attitude while collaborating with various parties across the Agency to troubleshoot issues and innovate systems within scope.
Eligible candidates will hold either of the following combinations of qualifications and/or experience, related to ICT:
An ICT degree (MQF Level 7 or higher); OR
An ICT degree (MQF Level 6) AND 1‐year experience in an ICT related area; OR
An ICT diploma (MQF Level 5) AND 3 years' experience in an ICT related area; OR
An ICT diploma (MQF Level 4) AND 4 years' experience in an ICT related area; OR
Five years' experience in an ICT related area.
Candidates’ qualifications, experience, and competencies will be assessed in line with the Agency’s Career Progression framework. Successful candidates may be engaged at either the standard level – Career Level 4 or the Senior level – Career Level 5.
