Senior Manager ICT Legal is required to join an established firm in Malta within Public Administration. You will oversee the ICT Legal functions that are responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of technology aspects and to provide legal direction to the business on strategies and solutions for mitigating such legal issues and risks


  • Drafting & reviewing technology contracts, including hardware and software licensing agreements, consultancy agreements, collaboration agreements and outsourcing agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating relevant consultancy agreements, including time and materials agreements, scoping agreements, penetration-testing agreements etc.
  • Advising on related ICT law and data transfer issues where international parties are involved
  • Oversee ISO, security compliance certifications and industry standards
  • Review and update existing documentation, including Internal Control Standards, to meet regulatory requirements and ensure business processes, policies and procedures are effective and sustainable
  • Drafting on a broad range of intellectual property and general commercial agreements
  • Monitor regulatory risk assessments performed on business and operational processes, procedures and policies, providing recommendation for mitigation or remediation
  • Provision of advice on legal aspects in particular, EU regulations, directives and national law


  • Bachelor’s degree in an ICT related subject OR Masters in an ICT related subject AND a) an academic legal related diploma/degree or b) 2 years’ experience in a legal related position

Considered an Asset:

  • Preparing financial budgets and plans for the running of the Unit and to ensure that the necessary preparations for updating the business plans are undertaken within the Units’ policies, standard requirements and given time-scales
  • Developing staff plans as part of the business activity and the management of human resources within the Unit of responsibility
  • Carrying out all the day to day management of human as well as financial resources in accordance with the law and policies of the unit
  • Ensure that all expenditure is kept within the budgetary allocations
