Senior Manager - Financial Reporting

Our Client, providing an array of financial services over African and Latin American countries, with their head office based in Mauritius, is looking for a Senior Manager - Financial Reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the administration of consolidation process and all related financial reporting requirement
  • Manage the financial reporting process ensuring financial statements are complete and accurate and are in accordance with IFRS principles
  • Maintain specific funders and requested investor reporting
  • Work closely with technical accounting and financial system teams to ensure timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of financial statements, disclosure and management's discussion & analysis
  • Review support for annual report including documentation for AFS disclosure
  • Continue to improve and participate actively in the automation of the reporting process
  • Research potential impact of new accounting standards on financial statements and disclosures
  • Provide assistance to external auditors during quarterly review and annual audit processes
  • Assist in analysis and integration of acquisitions and various team projects as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/ICAEW)
  • At least 7 years of Audit Experience
  • Well organised with high level of accuracy
  • Good analytical skills with excellent written and oral presentation abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Be prepared to work odd hours on an ad-hoc basis
  • Well versed with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • In line with IFRS updates and implementation
  • Project management experience (if any)
  • Experience in reporting software will be an advantage
