A Corporate Services provider specializing in funds, yachting, trustees, aviation and various other industries is currently looking for a Senior Manager - Compliance,Risk& MLRO to join their team, reporting to Managing Director and Global Chief Risk Officer.

Job duties include:

  • Liaison with the Malta Financial Services Authority and FIAU
  • Compliance with relevant legislation
  • Providing coaching and guidance
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls, policies and procedures in accordance with policies set by the Board/Group to satisfy AML/CFT legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Arranging AML / CFT training
  • The supervision, monitoring and review of internal compliance and administration policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the policies and procedures are adhered to and escalation of any non-compliance to the Board and/or appropriate delegated Committee
  • Responsible for ensuring all new clients are accepted in accordance the KYC / DD legislative requirements and with the internal policies and procedures
  • MLRO responsibilities: 
  • Reviewing and considering suspicious reports made by members of staff. Responsible for fiscal reporting to the FIAU
  • Establishing, operating and maintaining the relevant registers
  • Ensuring compliance with any Court Orders served within the specified time-frame
  • Responsible for the implementation, operation and monitoring of the risk management framework


  • 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Relevant industry qualification(s)
  • Good understanding of Malta legislation
  • Organised with effective time management skills
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • People management skills
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have already been approved by MFSA for the MLRO function
