A financial services company offering life and health insurance products is currently looking for a Senior Fund Administrator to join its team, reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for:

Job Description

  • Calculation of the net asset value ("NAV") including the calculation of the fund's income and expense accruals and the pricing of securities at current market value
  • Preparation of semi-annual and annual reports to shareholders
  • Maintenance and filing of the fund's financial books and records as the fund accountant, including reconcilement of holdings with custody and broker records 
  • Payment of fund expenses
  • Settlement of daily purchases and sales of securities, ensuring collection of dividends and interests
  • Calculation and payment to the transfer agent of dividends and distributions (if required)
  • Preparation and filing of the fund's prospectus
  • Preparation and filing of other MFSA filings/reports
  • Calculation of the total returns and other performance measures of the fund
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of the processes within your section and report any key business risks across all levels to the Chief Executive Officer promptly
  • Assist your superior or senior management to develop, communicate and instill a risk management culture
  • Encourage/motivate your colleagues in Risk management principles and practices

Skills and experience

  • MQF Level 5 or better standard of education or equivalent in a related field.
  • Confident, with minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Meticulous with attention to detail
  • Must be capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Fluency and strong communication skills in English
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
