A fast-growing company in financial services is looking for a Scrum Master & Release Manager. You will work in an Agile environment, managing multiple cross-disciplinary teams in the planning, execution, and release of initiatives through Scrum. While aligning deliverables to the release process., you will be managing risks and maintaining strong communication around releases and deliverables within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively coordinating the efforts of one or multiple agile teams, organizing and facilitating working sessions, such as Initiative refinement, dependency and user story mapping, and release planning

  • Partnering with the Technical Product Owner and Software Development team to aid in understanding, identifying, and documenting the business opportunity through non-ambiguous, testable stories

  • Providing leadership by example and guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers

  • Calculating team velocity to help determine and manage release timelines and aid in release planning and delivery

  • Building strong partnerships within Technology and across the business, communicating clearly with stakeholders on releases to ensure that business expectations are met through high quality, well-planned releases across various agile teams.

  • Participating in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks

Requirements:

  • Understanding of software development life cycle, Agile, Scrum framework, best practices, and trends

  • Experience working as a scrum master or release/project manager

  • Experience working with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Visio, and standard Office tools

  • Possess strong risk management skills, identifying risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality

  • Excellent communicator with good influencing skills and the ability to make yourself understood to both technical and non-technical audiences
