Job Purpose

To lead the Business Sales Team and drive the sales cycle according to Vodafone Way of Selling parameters.


Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:

  • Coach and develop team members incessantly
  • Develops and maintains a lead generation programme in order to reach agreed targets
  • Meets and exceeds sales team monthly, quarterly and yearly targets
  • Tracks and measures Sales Executives’ KPIs such as lead response times and opportunity-to-win ratios
  • Manages the Vodafone Business Centre Channel including retention and development opportunities
  • Ensures pipeline management and balancing by sales executive, and regularly reporting pipeline and sales forecasts
  • Leads the Business Sales Team through lead generation, qualification, support on commercial offer preparation and analysis, closing sales and eventual handover of acquired accounts to the relevant business segment.
  • Drives the team to use Vodafone Way of Selling mechanisms ensuring consistency in approach and consultative selling techniques
  • Supports sales executives to prepare tailor-made deals following commercial and financial policies
  • Maintains complete, accurate and up-to-date records of all customer contacts and interactions
  • Ensures an excellent service to new customers at all times, interacting with peers and other support functions as necessary in order to deliver an unmatched customer experience


Technical / Professional Expertise:

  • Above average command of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) tools
  • Experience in sales and managing people ideally in Telecoms environment
  • Analytical skills to interpret customer data and build financial models
  • Team leadership skills
  • Able to identify customer needs before recommending products (leading consultative selling)
  • Highly energetic with the ability to drive and motivate sales teams
  • Proactive, embracing change and able to suggest improvements in team dynamics and larger Vodafone Business context
  • Reporting capability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Vodafone’s products and services, including fixed services
  • Excellent presentation skills (written & oral)
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Smart and outgoing personality
