Risk and Compliance Officer (Banking)

Well-established company in the banking field is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager and assisting in monitoring the Bank’s exposure to risk as well as ensuring compliance with local, European and international laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in planning, designing and implementing risk management processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks
  • Prepare regulatory suite of documents, including the ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan, and relevant policies and procedures
  • Conducting internal customer file reviews, noting and recording findings accordingly
  • Ensuring the Bank’s ongoing compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in  completing an annual regulatory risk assessment and participating in remediation exercises
  • Assist in monitoring compliance of the Bank’s AML/CFT activities and the exercise of effective control on its AML/CFT policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of regulatory reports
Requirements:
  • Preferably Advanced Diploma in Financial Services or equivalent with a solid understanding of the banking industry
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Strong sense of integrity and ethics
  • Microsoft Office especially, MS Word and Excel
