Project Manager required to join a well established firm in financial services based in Malta.
 
Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivering multiple projects ranging from large strategic projects to smaller tactical initiatives
  • Defining project scope, determining project milestones and provide budget justification
  • You will be acting as a central point of contact to internal and external project stakeholders
  • Taking responsibility of the overall progress of project execution with strict adherence to SLAs and agreed timelines
  • Ensuring timely estimations are provided by Change Management within agreed time-frames
  • Maintaining an accurate and unbiased reflection of project related risks and ensure timely escalation
  • Ensuring that all delivery and testing cycles are properly planned with appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Providing the necessary training and business support to MFSA staff during User Acceptance Testing
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Tracking progress and status of ongoing tasks and ensure timely compilation of project reporting
  • Maintaining and storing all project documentation
  • Performing any other related duties that may be assigned by the function's Management from time to time
  • May require off-site duties in order to attend meetings with external consultants or software vendors
  • May also call for duties outside office hours in order to tend to critical issues or recover impacted schedules so as to ensure adherence to SLAs
 
Education and Skills Required:
 
  • Solid academic background in business, IT and/or change management or an equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a Project Management environment
  • Demonstrable management skills with a proven track record to lead a team
  • Proficient in business modelling, business process improvements techniques, change implementation and planning, data analysis, organizational design, requirements definition and stakeholder relationship management 
  • Hold strong documentation skills
  • Be familiar with standards associated with IT practice nationally and internationally
  • Strong awareness of the uses of IT within the financial services industry
  • Able to coordinate remote and face to face meetings
  • Good  negotiation skills
  • Team player and actively promote team spirit
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be accurate and systematic in doing work
