Well-established company in the banking field is looking for an IT Project Coordinator to join their team.
Main responsibilities:
- Interfacing with Project Sponsors, Business Managers, other IT units also including working with Suppliers on project related matter
- Management of various critical and highly demanding projects
- Ensuring that any projects assigned follow the full project life cycle in accordance with the industry best practices, including Agile and Waterfall approaches
- Develop, monitor and update project plans to make sure they are adhered to
- Analyzing and managing project risk log
- Creating, adhering and improving of quality standards and practices
- Prepare time and cost estimates for the projects assigned including detailed and efficient resource planning
- Handling suppliers and getting the most beneficial deals and support contracts
- Providing expertise and being a reference point to both business and IT support for all the systems implemented and possibly involved in any updates, upgrades and changes to the implemented projects
- Make sure that the projects are handed over to IT Application Support function and Infrastructure units in proper timeframes and with a well comprehensive documentation
- Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes
- Liaise and coordinate with the Business Analysts to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
- Assist in budget preparation
- Analyse risks and opportunities
- Manage and set up project communication and act as the point of contact for the project
- Work with Project Members to eliminate any blocking issues during the project
- Coordinate with all relevant legal and risk resources that all appropriate legal paperwork and contracts are in line with the law and in the interest of the Bank
- Manage the Testing process with the assistance of the Business Analysts and Business Users
- Hand over project results, draw up final project report and follow-up on any open issues and document lessons learnt
- Manage the Vendor/Supplier relationship during the complete life cycle of the project
- Analyse the market for the applicable vendors for the project
- Set up meetings with vendors and prepare a shortlist of vendors to be invited for project
- Coordinate creation of requirements with the Project Sponsor, Project Owner and Business Analysts
- Issue the Request for Proposal documentation and set the respective deadlines
- Coordinate the evaluation criteria process
- Creating the evaluation document and presenting the recommendation to the Project Committee
- Open negotiations and discuss potential payment options and deals before presenting them to Project Committee for approval
- Coordinate GAP analysis phase and assist with the selection and coordination of the project team resources and availability
- Coordinate any project related training and ensure that users are able to use the solution effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems from accredited college or university or a comparable vocational or technical education
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing various sized projects
- Project organisation and cooperation
- Excellent time management, task planning and prioritising
- Focus on adopting an Agile approach whenever possible.
