Reporting to the CEO and to the Group Head of Wealth Products, the selected candidate will be responsible for defining, communicating and leading the product development and roadmap for the retail and wealth management business line. You will own the product vision, gather and prioritize requirements, define the product roadmap and work closely with user experience and design, development and marketing to deliver required capabilities to market.The Product Manager role will be based in Belgium and the selected candidate will be offered one year accommodation and four flights over and above the Bank's standard benefits.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Identifying business opportunities and presenting business cases to improve existing, or new saving and investment products and services aimed at increasing the amount of deposits and assets under management and custody and the profitability of the retail and wealth management business line
  • Leading the implementation of new saving and investment propositions, balancing business and technical objectives when assigning priorities and designing product features and pricing
  • Budgeting and following up on product KPIs and portfolio volumes to evaluate performance and propose remedial actions
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry developments, trends, customer requirements and competitor's product offering to be aware of the operating environment and take advantage of market opportunities
  • Working with the marketing team to keep all product-related content (rate sheets, webpages and terms and conditions) up-to-date and review investment content for customer communication (newsletters, market updates and funds highlights)
  • Liaising with external vendors that provide brokerage, custody, consulting and data services to identify product enhancements and implement cost saving or revenue generation opportunities
  • Building and managing an effective network of relationships with fund houses and other business counterparties with a view of establishing profitable collaborations and business partnerships
  • Cooperating with relevant business functions to identify and manage risks, legal and regulatory requirements related to savings and investment products and services (MIFID 2, GDPR, FSMA circulars and codes of conduct)
  • Collaborating with internal operational and support teams to ensure that ongoing servicing and client experience fits with client's expectations and regulatory requirements
  • Organizing and providing training on wealth management, mutual funds, saving and investments to more junior members of staff
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to customers and prospects during seminars and corporate events

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Business
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Business Development or Product Development functions
  • Knowledge of savings and investment products and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Communication skills in French or Dutch would be considered an asset
