Leading banking institution in Malta is seeking to employ a Performance Manager to join their growing HR Department.

Job duties include:
  • To lead the performance management team to develop and maintain a bank-wide performance management system which may be tied in with an incentive reward structure that promotes team building and drives employees’ motivation
  • To develop new ideas on how to adopt a strategic approach to the performance management process to ensure proper alignment of individual/team targets to the Bank’s key strategic objectives
  • To review the Performance Management Policy on a regular basis to ensure that it is in line with banking requirements that might change from time to time
  • To analyse and manage employees’ disagreements and put forward recommendations to the Review Panel in every phase of the performance management process
  • To prepare and present reports in relation to the performance management process including forecasts of end-of-year ratings
  • To design and deliver communication and training sessions with particular focus on HR soft skills to ensure that the aim of the Bank’s performance management process is understood and reached
  • To coordinate and participate in workgroups with Unit Heads and Risk Department and come up with feasible targets that satisfy legal and regulatory requirements and are in line with the Bank’s Remuneration Policy
  • To audit employees’ performance reviews at every stage of the performance management process, i.e. at planning, interim and evaluation stages. To liaise with the parties concerned to ensure that the relative appraisals are reviewed according to the Performance Management Policy and other HR guidelines as published from time to time
  • To hold interviews with employees who merit the Bank’s recognition vis-à-vis their contribution towards the organisation and devise a tailor-made action plan, which assists them in their career progression
Skills and Qualifications required:
  • MQF 6 level of education in the relevant field, preferably HR
  • Good communication skills both in Maltese and English language
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR function
