Payments Operations Officer

A local bank is seeking an Payments Operations Officer, handling day-to-day credit operations, back office support, ongoing reviews and enhancement of existing procedures, identification of operational risk areas.

  • Handling of the day-to-day credit operations
  • Providing back office support to private and corporate banking
  • Assisting with payments through the bank’s systems
  • Internal communication with regards to client funds
  • Identifying areas of operational and AML risk
  • Assisting in the management of the credit process from an operational perspective
  • Assisting in the preparation of sanction letters
  • Liaising with other departments of the bank to ensure that preapproval conditions are met with regards to credit lines
  • Assisting in the ongoing monitoring of corporate loans
  • In possession of a diploma or degree in Banking and Finance or any other related field
  • Work experience in credit operations
  • Ability to effectively manage operational tasks with limited supervision
  • Experience in payment services including SWIFT will be considered an asset
  • Full training will be provided
