IT risk analyst opportunity has been risen to join an established firm in Malta in the financial industry. You will be responsible in identifying, measuring, analysing and reporting material risks of the firm

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analysing incidents/tickets generated and determine next steps in accordance with established processes and procedures 

  • Partnering with necessary teams to classify events and ensure execution of complete remediation solutions 

  • Promoting awareness  by developing training and education programmes to cover Information Security 

  • Reporting on monthly metrics to help identify and understand trends pointed out through reporting 

  • Assisting unit in ongoing responsibilities, including but not limited to risk assessments, gap analysis and implementation of solutions to audit findings 

  • Preparing, presenting and delivering risk reports to the various stakeholders 

  • Have the ability to adapt content and style according to the audience, whilst being able to respond to comments and questions 

  • Constructing dashboards, risk intelligence and analytic management reports 

  • Acting as a point of reference for colleagues of same and/or lower levels 

  • Planning and organising and organise job processes to achieve team objectives 

  • Assisting with the direction of team operations and takes responsibility for tasks and decisions to achieve team goals 

 

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Degree (MQF L6) in Computing or a related area or equivalent working experience 

  • Previous working experience in the area of Information Security or other IT related field 

  • Experience in working with highly sensitive information 

  • General security concepts and methods (vulnerability assessments, data classification, privacy assessments, incident response) 

  • Risk Management Techniques and Statistics 

  • Security certification (CSX Cyber Fundamentals, CRISC, CISA, CISSP would be considered an asset 

  • Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised  

  • Highly responsible, committed and confident  

  • Team player and flexible   

  • Willingness to pursue appropriate certifications in areas related to the field
