A well established international health insurance provider is seeking to employ an Insurance Officer for their new Malta Office. 

Job duties include:
  • Meeting prospects and discussing their global health insurance requirements, source quotations on client's behalf, issue and check policy documentation
  • Discussing and assessing prospects' current and future insurance needs
  • Convert prospects into clients
  • Researching insurance policies and products
  • Insurance broking services
  • Keeping detailed computer records and preparing reports for management
  • Advising clients on making claims on their policies
  • Renewing or amending existing policies for clients
  • Communicating and developing a relationship with prospective clients and relevant policy makers
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with clients network, build and maintain a close relationship to all MIIP / MRVP agents
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Ability to identify potential operational and/or other risks
  • Other ad hoc general  duties
Skills and Qualifications required:
  • Good level of spoken and written English, knowledge of Maltese language will be considered an asset
  • Experienced in selling insurance products, ideally international health insurance products
  • Very strong sales  acumen with proper business attire and manners
  • Ability to work with demanding and sophisticated international clientele
  • Excellent communication and  networking skills
  • Able to work independently under minimum supervision
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Willingness to travel is a plus – trips with stays in other branches in Cyprus, Spain etc.  may be required in the future
  • Preference will be given to candidate who have experience in insurance industry and knowledge of MIIP / MRVP programmes
