Well established international pharmaceutical company is seeking to employ an HR Manager for its  operations in Malta. The HR Manager will have one person under supervision, and will be reporting directly to Head of Operations.

Job duties include:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle  from identifying advertising channels  to screening and interviewing candidates
  • Collaborating with Heads of Departments to identify skills gap and update job descriptions
  • Liaison with Trade Union
  • Overseeing of administrative HR functions related to employment and remuneration with the support of the HR administrative officer.
  • Handle all employee matters including retention, incentive plans and motivation
  • Coordinate with other departments  to build a strong employer brand as Employer of Choice
  • Coordinate onboarding program for new employees and ensure consistency and collaboration, promoting Company Vision and Values at every opportunity
  • Management of employee Handbook and all policies compliance to the relevant legislation
  • Identifying training needs through training needs analysis exercise, regular appraisals and one-to one meetings, and co-ordinate required training according to personal and company goals
  • Coordinate yearly appraisals and ensure regular inter and intra-departmental meetings are held to enhance employee engagement
  • Manage CSR activities 

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant HR experience
  • Degree level of education in HR or similar
  • Sound knowledge of the local employment legislation framework
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be able to work on own initiative
  • Be flexible and committed to the role
  • Be approachable and able to communicate and guide people at all levels of the organisation
  • Confidence to lead and implement new projects to enhance structure, policies and staff engagement
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
