The duties of the Head of Shared Services - Accounting will be, but not limited to the below, and he/she shall report directly to the Group Finance Executive.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare Management accounts and ensure proper Bookkeeping of subsidiaries as and when required
  • Develop and track key metrics (budgets, forecasts and other KPIs)
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements & tax computations
  • Produce timely and reliable management information and analysis reports on a monthly or adhoc basis
  • Evaluate business processes and implement measures to improve efficiency
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of entity audits and assist in Group audit process
  • Ensure compliance requirements of entities are met
  • Provide information/ assistance to business analysis department when required
  • Support the Group Finance Executive as one of the senior managers of the organisation, as required
  • Foster effective team work within your team(s)
  • Agree appropriate delegation of responsibilities with the Group Finance Executive and provide supervision of the work of direct reports, whilst providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Ensure effective oversight, review and approval of all work outputs from within the team(s) for which you are responsible
  • Align performance for success and lead and live the company's values
  • Adapt a collaborative coaching management style and any other cognate duties

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Fully qualified accountant and relevant university degree would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills including sound IFRS knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Office tools with advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Ability to lead and coach a team
  • Excellent communications skills with fluency in English
  • Experience with accounting software (MS Dynamics AX would be an definite advantage)
  • Experience in an audit firm would be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and unusual hours when necessary
