A very well-known financial Services institution is currently looking for a Head of Finance to manage its finance team.

Job Description

  • Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the board
  • Coordinate the collection and compilation of information for budgetary purposes and compile annual budgets together with the necessary ancillary budget explanations for presentation to the Board of Directors
  • Monitor of capital and operating expenditure against pre-approved Firm’s budgets
  • Retain constant awareness of the firm’s financial position and act to prevent problems
  • Manage the timely invoicing and collection of receivables including aged debtors
  • Lead licence holder fee reviews
  • Compile timely and detailed reports on financial performance comparing to budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for the Board
  • Prepare FDRS returns to Ministry of Finance
  • Manage the procurement function of the organisation, including procedures, negotiating with suppliers and the issue of tenders, where applicable, in line with the policies established by the Board of Governors and in line with the Procurement Regulations in force
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
  • Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance staff
  • Reports on a regular basis to the Chief Operations Officer and the Executive Committee

Skills and Experience

  • The ideal candidate must be a fully qualified accountant and warranted
  • Must possess a minimum of 8 years working within a similar senior role
  • Candidates holding previous experience within the financial services industry will be preferred
  • The ideal candidate must be able to work under strict deadlines
  • The ideal candidate must posses previous experience within the public sector
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a high degree of self confidence
  • Must possess good leadership and managerial skills
