A well-established international company is currently seeking to recruit a head of finance who will be planning and running financial activities.  

Job Duties 

  • Be knowledgeable about the operational and commercial aspects of the company 
  •  Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing, forecasting and budgeting processes 
  • Prepare year-end financial statements 
  • Evaluating and analysing data to derive appropriate findings and make decisions on areas such as cash flow  
  • Oversee the day-to-day upkeep of accounting records 
  • Ensure adequate policies and internal control procedures are in place 
  • Plan, direct and coordinate financial audits (internal and external) 
  • Take a leading role in liaising with corporate tax consultants to ensure proper tax calculation and submissions are affected 
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of local and foreign VAT returns 
  • Provide leadership, direction and management of the finance team, ensuring all team members understand their objectives and work together to achieve them 
  • Keep up with developments in financial regulations and laws 
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed; 
  • Assist in other ad hoc duties as may be required 

Job Requirements 

  • Warranted Qualified Accountant having an Accountancy Degree or ACCA 
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a multinational company 
  • Experience working for a Big 4 firm 
  • Experience in using SAGE will be considered an asset 
  • Results-oriented and logical mind, with the ability to analyse and resolve emerging matters as they arise 
  • Able to work effectively, respecting all deadlines with minimal management guidance or supervision
