Head of Compliance (Insurance)

A newly established insurance entity is seeking to employ a Head of Compliance to join its growing and ambitious team of highly skilled individuals.

Job duties include:
  • Manage the operations of the Compliance function
  • Lead compliance related education and awareness internally and towards business partners
  • Develop and review company policies relating to compliance
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and regular compliance health checks
  • Able to define, structure and prioritise workload for themselves and others
  • Providing strategic direction to the management team on compliance, including regular reporting to the Board on compliance matters
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities 

Skills and Qualifications required:
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar function, candidates who have already been PQed by the MFSA will be given strong preference
  • Thorough understanding of the insurance regulations locally and within the EU
  • Self-motivated individual with good communication skills
