A well-established company dealing with consumer goods is currently seeking to recruit a financial controller who will be reporting directly to the Board. 

Job Description

  • Establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently 
  • Provide senior management with accurate and timely accounting records and reports, general supervision and guidance of the finance team in their day-to-day tasks
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities, using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing solutions
  • Allocate tasks to be completed on a time schedule basis to collate and compile reports for management
  • Participate in managing budget
  • Prepare variance analysis on company department’s financial performance to ensure budget adherence
  • Ensuring that internal procedures are constantly being followed within the company
  • Manages treasury, finance, accounting and compliance functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the corporate assets
  • Coordinates and prepares the month end  management accounts, financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports
  • Provides timely, accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports to assist the CEO and other executives with their responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with all tax reporting requirements including income tax, VAT, and employment taxes

Job Requirements

  • Professional qualification (e.g.ACCA, CIMA) or the equivalent level of experience 
  • Be warranted
  • Previous finance experience
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the accounting, and finance profession
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Must be hands on and be ready to get involved in daily tasks
