A Specialized Insurer in the automotive segment with European wide responsibility is currently looking to hire a Financial Controller to manage it's finance team.

Job Description

Setting accounting standards in line with regulations
Implementing financial reporting standard IFRS 17
Financial Controlling (profitability, cost & sales)
Budgeting process
Forecasts & Business Cases
Preparing and hosting Board meetings
Supporting parent company and other functions on all finance & controlling related matters
Supervising the finance team
Authorizing payments
Improving investment strategy

Compliance duties include:

Ensuring companies compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Reviewing and updating policies
Monitoring and reporting on complaints
Issuing annual compliance reports
Communication with Maltese and international regulatory bodies
Preparing response to regulatory request
Ensuring products, deals and agreements follow internal policies

Skills and Experience

Master in business, mathematics or Accountancy
At least 5 year-experience in accounting, controlling or in similar roles
At least three year-experience in a leadership position
Fluently in English, French is considered as an asset
Clean personal record, since position requires MFSA approval
Be able open to travel
