An established, leading company in the Media industry is seeking for a DevOps Engineer. You will contribute to the resilience, scalability, and performance of the digital media website handling over 20 million requests a month and over half a million unique users daily which runs on fully scripted and highly scalable cloud infrastructure.


  • Introduce processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates

  • Drive the unification and automation of processes

  • Strive to deliver high-quality, fully functional and tested software

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of existing technologies powering a popular news website

  • Be involved in improving the architecture of the backend systems. The ultimate goal is to make those systems more resilient, scalable and better performing

  • Be an active contributor to the design and optimisation of new modules to complement an extensively developed content management system


  • 5+ years' DevOps experience

  • 3+ years' experience with CI/CD

  • 3+ years' experience with configuration management tools

  • 2+ years' experience with LXD/LXC

  • Excellent conduct of Python and Shell scripting languages

  • Experience with Linux system administration

  • Experience with AWS or another public cloud provider

  • Excellent working knowledge of Git

  • Experience working in agile teams, both local and remote

  • Good communication skills



  • Degree in Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • Hands-on experience with Juju

  • Experience working with modern API based PHP applications utilising CakePHP, Laravel or Symfony
