A well-established company is currently seeking to recruit a development manager who shall be experienced, yet very hands on.

Job Duties

  • Deliver working software
  • Provide short- and long-term goals
  • Ensuring blockers are managed with scrum masters or the PO’s
  • Delegate work, yet ready to check that things are being done in the optimal way
  • Keep good and open relationships with the people involved, to manage any risks
  •  Manage the team and ensure that there are strong tech lead’s, who are comfortable to challenge the manager
  • Prepare statistics and reports to key business stakeholders and colleagues
  • Keep on top of your process and keep things on track
  • Make sure your dashboards/communication is clear, precise and easy to read
  • Be comfortable with your current technologies and be aware of new and upcoming technologies
  • Work closely with QA and refining the processes to decrease ‘cycle time’
  • Ensure successful releases by involving QA, DBA and Infrastructure to minimise ‘business impact hours’ due to release
  • Improving our deployment processes enabling automation where possible
  • Develop and maintain budgets for the department
  • Manage the team
  • Any other ad hoc duties

Job Requirements

  • Worked in a web-based, high transaction businesses. Ideally with a gaming background
  • Be pragmatic in your approach, and ensure you maintain perspective
  • Worked in Agile methodologies and know how to apply them
  • A good listener, and clear communicator
  • Responsible of business problems, ensuring outcomes/delivery across multiple teams.
