Duties and responsibilities:

  • Proactively communicating and collaborating with Compliance, Risk and Operations stakeholders
  • Conducting system and data analysis in support of business user queries
  • Documenting business rules, data needs and data specifications
  • Gaining sufficient understanding of processes and systems to become a subject matter expert
  • Supporting, maintaining and debuging existing functionality, identifying root causes to issues
  • Liaising with other Data and Analytics chapters for data and reporting needs
  • Coordinating with other technology teams for system integrations
  • Collaborating with IT teams for infrastructure needs and monitoring
  • Escalating with supplier support teams to ensure resolution of product issues
  • Keeping up with supplier product roadmaps and plan for upgrades
  • Participating and assisting with testing, configuration/release management, and deployment
  • Leading end-user training and enabaling initiatives to ensure that business teams get the most out of the platforms
  • Following the direction of the Data Product team in delivering functionality

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computing/finance or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in supporting technology platforms in the payments/financial industry
  • Prior experience with Name Screening, Payment Filtering, or comparable platforms
  • Knowledge of testing stages and test case design
  • Proven use of modelling tools, including data flow diagrams and relationship data models
  • Thorough documentation skills, preferably using the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Sound understanding of sanction lists, PEP registers or similar data
  • Prior use or administration of EastNets SafeWatch Filtering, EastNets SafeWatch Profiling or LexisNexis Bridger or equivalent platforms will be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with the use of Thomson Reuters World-Check, Dow Jones or other list providers
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Able to communicate clearly to sort out issues within time constraints
  • Comfortable with the analysis of large datasets
  • Advanced SQL and/or Excel skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools; preferably Qlik or MicroStrategy, will be considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of French and/or Dutch will be considered an asset
