Compliance Analyst (Insurance)

A well-established European company with over 3 decades of experience is seeking to recruit a Compliance Analyst

You will be assisting the Risk & Compliance Team; which team plays a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of risk and compliance across the company’s operations, by focusing more on compliance related matters and diligently completing the team’s day-to-day compliance duties. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Compliance Team with the implementation of the compliance plans.  

  • Staying up-to-date with all regulatory developments and preparing assessments for review by the Head of Group Risk & Compliance on any changes in the legal and regulatory environment. 

  • Reviewing & Monitoring the System of Governance of the Group and the risk carriers within the Group.  

  • Reviewing on an ongoing basis the policies and procedures within the Group and making recommendations for improvement.  

  • Assisting the Head of Group Risk & Compliance in the preparation of Compliance Reports.  

  • Providing technical assistance on the implementation of the AML/CFT framework  

  • Developing and delivering training programs on Compliance related matters.  

  • Dealing with Compliance enquiries from staff and external parties. 

Skills Required: 

  • A good understanding of the Solvency II framework.  

  • In possession of a Degree or professional qualification of a similar standing in Insurance, Compliance, Business or Law.  

  • Proficient with MS Office products.  

  • To communicate effectively with people and all levels of management to provide proactive counsel to the business.  

  • Excellent work management skills: time and workload management, ability to take and execute instructions and meet deadlines.  

  • Interpersonal skills: excellent telephone manner, active listener, purposeful communication.  

  • Taking the initiative and be accountable to ensure success with a real desire to achieve individual, team and company goals.  

  • The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across a multi-discipline team environment.
