“The organization’s greatest asset is its’ people”. Each organization has a wealth of experience and expertise that has grown over a lot of years, and which experience and expertise can be put to good use within the same organization for future benefit. Although scientific management practices have long become obsolete, one form of traditional development still exists whenever there is a change in personnel within an organization – that of employees being trained or assisted by their fellow employees. During this course, participants will be introduced to the art of learning, with a view of identifying key personal competencies that allow a person to develop other persons.
The function and importance of On-the-Job-Training in employee development;
Critical success factors in On-the-Job-Training design and implementation;
Common learning problems, reflecting learning theory;
Developing On-the-Job-Training programs for given periods of time;
Use of instructional aids to learning;
Evaluating trainee learning and assist employee development;
Understanding how to deliver feedback;
Appreciating different learning styles, and learn to structure one’s style of instructional training to the audience.
Aims and Objectives:
The Train the Trainers’ course will benefit course participants particularly on a personal level, as they will be able to develop specific interpersonal skills that are vital if one is to assume the role of trainer. Among other benefits, course participants will
Develop various interpersonal skills that are fundamental in training;
Learn presentation skills, what to dos and what not to dos, how to present oneself and approach trainees;
Learn to understand verbal and non-verbal communication that is being transmitted and received between trainer and audience;

Develop leadership skills and career potential.
This course is for those who are new to delivering training sessions or who wish to refresh their existing skills. It is for professionals, managers and anyone involved in the development of others who would like to improve their learning delivery skills as well as for trainers in the training function. It is also useful for those persons who will be involved in various people development situations, such as (i)training within change projects; (2) developing sales skills of sales teams; and (3) providing training on IT applications and other functional areas to various users.
