Effective Health and Safety Management is fundamental in organisations. It protects the wellbeing of employees, employers, customers and visitors. Sadly, many people are injured or killed each year in accidents at work. Others suffer illnesses caused by, or made worse by their work. Preventing accidents and ill health in the workplace should be a key priority for everyone.
Organisations which neglect Health and Safety practice may lose staff, risk prosecution and may increase costs and reduce profitability. It is an employer's duty to protect the Health, Safety and welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by their business. The Employer must therefore ensure that employees and others are protected from anything that may cause harm and control any risks to injury or health that could arise in the workplace. Furthermore, Health and Safety is the subject of many Laws and Regulations.
This training session will provide insight on the Laws applicable to Health and Safety practice and procedures an employer must adopt to effectively develop a positive Health and Safety culture, thus avoiding distress that accidents and ill health cause and the financial costs that may result from such occurrences.
