PWC: What's required to build a more inclusive and sustainable society?

over 1 year ago by PWC

"More than 150 institutions and think tanks, and over 550 attendees from 65 countries, recently participated in the T20 Inception Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the goal of providing the G20 with solutions to issues of global importance, through the shaping of research-backed policy recommendations.

The two day inception meeting commenced with the theme of “Striving for a future of prosperity, sustainability and inclusion”, and involved thought provoking discussions on global and regional issues and challenges, including inclusion, climate change, technology, innovation, women’s empowerment and the role of multilateralism.

Led by a talented and diverse group of individuals, the 10 task forces - including some from previous presidencies and a few additional ones that strongly resonate with the Middle East region - addressed current challenges and proposed solutions with the aim of achieving prosperity and sustainability for economies, business and societies.

At PwC we are excited to be part of the dialogue again, both listening and building on ideas PwC contributed through “Creating Common Purpose”. We believe opportunities for building a more inclusive and sustainable society need a clear balance among economic, social and environmental issues, locally and globally, for the world of today and of tomorrow."
