Castille Institute is pleased to welcome Dr Roberta Lepre on the 4 April 2019 as she delivers Managing Equality and Promoting Diversity.

Managing Equality and Promoting Diversity within the workplace has over the years developed into a powerful and indispensable tool adopted by many Companies/Firms. Research shows that companies/firms offering an inclusive environment for a diverse mix for employees stand to innovate, grow and outperform their competition. In view of this, progressive businesses are inevitably embracing diversity and inclusion as a means of forging a sustainable future. 

This Managing Equality and Promoting Diversity training course has been designed to assist delegates in gaining knowledge about their responsibilities for promoting equality, tackling all forms of discrimination and fostering good relationships between diverse groups of people in the workplace whilst also developing awareness of the value of promoting equal opportunities and diversity, which will in turn benefit the business. 

This training course is ideal for staff in any sector. It provides an understanding of how the values, opinions and prejudices of an individual can influence those around them, and how this can lead to discrimination in the workplace. In addition, we will be looking into other relevant topics such as inappropriate actions and behaviors and how these can be challenged, understanding and respecting the needs of individuals, Equality Legislation and strategies for embedding equality and diversity to leverage its benefits. 

About the Speaker - Roberta Lepre

Dr. Roberta Lepre was admitted to the bar in 2004, after having spent two years in a leading law firm, during which time she gained experience in general civil and commercial law. 

Following that, she joined the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality as Legal Advisor. Between 2008 and 2017 she served as Director of Victim Support Malta, an NGO which provides support to victims of crime. Other past roles include serving as a member of the Guardian for Future Generations, a high level body set up under the Sustainable Development Act, Chairperson of the Platform for Human Rights Organisations in Malta, and member of the Commission on Domestic Violence. 

Roberta set up Weave Consulting in 2007, as a boutique firm originally focusing on equality and diversity. Over the years, and following successful completion of various projects, Weave Consulting evolved to offer CSR services, particularly CSR audits to forward thinking companies – the offer being developed on the firm belief that a well implemented CSR strategy produces tangible solutions to a variety of challenges which business must overcome in order to remain competitive.
