Castille Institute, a well-established leader within the financial services and tech education sector is organising a course on Blockchain & Distributed Ledger Technology on the 24 January 2018.
This course is being delivered by Jonathan Galea, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies Lawyer and President of Bitmalta.
Blockchain and Distributed Leger Technology - The legal and regulatory challenges to be surmounted will tackle the revolutionary blockchain technology, highlighting its structure, benefits and potential pitfalls, along with a brief look at its real-world implementations so far such as Bitcoin and smart contracts. This will be followed by a detailed look at developing regulation in the sector from an international comparative viewpoint, along with the most important case studies relevant to the topic. The second half of the course will then tackle the new challenges which blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies brings to the table, and a discussion will take place on whether existing legal principles can be applied to answer certain questions posedin relation to such technologies,such as whether liability lies with the creator, hosts, supporters, or users of such distributed ledger technologies.
